Atento, multinational company specializing in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), has been acknowledged once again for its work in people management, receiving an award at the 18th Grupo Dirigentes 2012 for Management Excellence in the Social Commitment category.

The awards were handed out at a ceremony held at Madrid's Hotel Ritz on 3 July 2012 and was attended by the Minister for Public Works, Ana Pastor, who closed the ceremony congratulating the award winners and acknowledging individually the contribution made by the 11 award winning organizations which included Schindler, General Electric, Talgo, Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio, Peugeot España and Renfe AVE. In Atento's case, Pastor congratulated the company for its Social Commitment Award obtained for its "job training programs". Mariano Castaños, Managing Director of Atento Spain, picked up the award on behalf of the company, and took the opportunity to express his optimism at the future of business in Spain: "Spanish companies will be successful" he affirmed. Furthermore, he affirmed Atento's commitment to Spanish society, "to continue to create quality jobs". Atento has created over 1,300 jobs in Spain over the last two years, and has been named Best Workplace in Spain in 2011 and 2012 by the Great Place to Work Institute, in the 1,000 employees and over category. Furthermore, Atento was also included in the ranking of World´s Best Multinational Work Places 2011, earning a place as one of the top 25 best multinational companies to work for in the world.
